Synopsis

(title translation: Love on A Faraway Island)

A navy ship stops at an isolated island due to a machine problem. At the same time, Bondan, a hero of the island, is very ill. Nurse Narti and Rina who work on the island cannot help him, hence Tinah, Bondan’s daughter, is in a panic. Narti asks for the help of Doctor Narko from the navy ship. Bondan recovers while a love triangle develops. Narko loves Narti and Tinah loves Narko. Then cholera spreads which claims Narti’s life.

Note

The film title is the same with a poem by Chairil Anwar, and is rumored to be the inspiration of the film. The film is printed on 70 mm stereo and 35 mm.
