Tragedi Bintaro

(title translation: The Bintaro Tragedy)

Based on the true incident of a train accident in Bintaro that claimed a lot of lives, we meet Minah, who lives in a crowded Jakarta housing area with her five grandchildren. The parents of the children are divorced and Minah has to take care of them. Minah makes a living by working as a washerwoman and a masseur. Her second grandchild, Juned, makes money by selling newspapers after school. Minah wants to take her five grandchildren and move to the village. But the dream is shattered when the train they are on has an accident. Granny Minah becomes a victim, and the only one who survives is Juned, though his left leg has to be amputated. Most of the film attempts to reconstruct the events leading to the accident.
