Synopsis

Disappointed with marriage, Sahara leaves Medan for Jakarta and also leaves behind the ‘ronggeng’ dance, her previous occupation. In the capital city, she meets Effendi, who asks her to collaborate in creating a national social dance that is rooted in traditional regional dances. The film features 10 songs and 15 new dances.

Note

Radial was the company from Medan, which also produced the previous traditional dance film Serampang 12 (1956).
