Sorta (Tumbuh Bunga di Sela Batu)

(title translation: A Flower Grows in Between Rocks)

After graduating from high school, Sorta has to comply when her father, Amang Bukit, orders her to stay in the village and work as a farmer. Meanwhile, Inang Ria is devastated because her husband leaves for the city and brings along their son, Daulat. Inang Ria is vengeful towards Amang Bukit as he bought her husband’s land which is the money used to pay for the trip to the city. Daulat’s return, years later, gives her hope but Daulat cannot change anything. His father had sold the land legally to Amang Bukit. Inang Ria loathes Amang Bukit even more, especially when she finds out that Daulat and Sorta are in love. Amang Bukit doesn’t approve of his daughter’s relationship with Daulat. He plans to kill Daulat but he accidentally dies by falling into a ravine. Inang Ria finally forgives when Sorta gives birth to a baby boy from Daulat.
