Sayang Sayangku Sayang

(title translation: My Dear Love)

Farid, a young man spoiled by his mother, becomes a juvenile delinquent. With a borrowed motorcycle, he dates Milarka. His older sibling is often antagonistic towards him and Milarka’s family also opposes their relationship, as Farid is known to be a delinquent. Then Farid and his friends are tempted to steal priceless antiques that are exhibited in a church. The police apprehend Farid’s friends while Farid becomes a fugitive. Realising that his behaviour is creating trouble for his mother again, Farid gives himself up. In prison, Farid regrets his mistakes and decides to start anew. There is a correlation between the character’s story with Farid Hardja’s biography. The film is accompanied by some of Farid and friend’s songs.
