Synopsis

Hartoyo and Sanusi become good friends while in the Indonesian military forces. They are both in charge of developing the island of Harapan. Sanusi’s younger sister, Aesah, is Hartoyo’s girlfriend. After Hartoyo and Sanusi leave for Harapan Island, Aesah’s mother passed away. And then she also receives news that Sanusi has died on the island. Aesah is so troubled that she loses her mind, starts roaming the streets of Malioboro. Fortunately, Hartoyo returns and manages to find her. After the two are married, Hartoyo and Aesah persuade the pickpockets and beggars in Malioboro to move to Harapan Island.
