Sesudah Subuh

(title translation: After Sunrise)

After the revolution, former freedom fighters have a new struggle – finding jobs. One becomes a policeman, another is depressed by how he is treated by society, one manages to adapt to the new situation, while another follows the path of corruption, by working together with government officials to embezzle funds. The depressed one is Karim, who is exploited by Surya. Luckily, there is Harun who manages to uncover the deceit of his former comrade-in-arms. Karim is freed, while the police shoots Surya dead, right after sunrise or “sesudah subuh”.
