Setan Pocong

(title translation: Pocong Ghost)

Sari, an orphan, lives with her uncle, Padmo. But Mrs. Padmo and her daughter, Yuni, accuse her of stealing jewelry. Then the spirit of Sari’s parents help her in strange ways: by making Sari "vanish", by making a "pocong" ghost (a ghost wrapped in a death shroud) appear, and scaring Yuni so that she admits that she is the one who has stolen the jewelry. A religious teacher, who is asked to help, reveals the presence of a benevolent genie. He then asks the genie to return to its realm. Finally, Yuni apologises and admits her jealousy of Sari as Bagus, the boy she desires is Sari’s boyfriend.
