Sopir Taksi

Sanjoyo sells his farm and comes to Jakarta when his brother Haryo, tells him to. It turns out that Haryo is unemployed so both of them have to look for a job. After being rejected, they go to their ex-commander during the independence war, Irawan, who runs a taxi business. They become taxi drivers. Haryo goes through strange experiences and Sanjoyo too, though not as unfortunate as his brother’s. A high-class prostitute, Evi, becomes Sanjoyo’s customer and as their relationship develops, they decide to get married. Evi’s customers and pimp feels betrayed and they beat up Sanjoyo, who manages to handle the situation and leaves it to the police. Bambang wants to be funny without being a comedian, but Hardjo Muljo, who is a comedian, can only be funny, so the movie becomes a mismatch in terms of casting.
