Samtidar (Samtidar)

Samtidar’s (Andy Carol) good behaviour does not change even when his rich father, Ahmad Syarief (A Hamid Arief), becomes poor after his business goes bankrupt. He is still strong hearted and diligent and when he moves to the village, he helps his grandfather to work in the field. Then his father is given a work opportunity in Hong Kong and Samtidar also goes to the city to look for a job, to help his poor grandfather’s family. But all he finds is suffering until he meets a driver, Kamal (Rofi’ie Prabancana), who hires him as a helper. Every week, he goes home to give his earnings to his mother. One day, his father returns home to take his wife, Aminah (Ellya Rosa), away. He leaves behind a note, but the letter is blown away by the wind, leaving the grandparents in confusion. When Samtidar goes home and finds his mother missing, he believes that something bad has happened, and he wanders off aimlessly. His parents now believe him missing and put up a missing person notice, which Kamal sees. Then Kamal takes Samtidar to his parents and asks for Samtidar to be considered his child, as a reward. Kamal is still childless after seven years of marriage. Syarief and Aminah refuse and the reward check is returned by Kamal. Samtidar chases after him so Syarief and Aminah finally relent and allow Kamal to also consider Samtidar as his son.
