It is the night before Eid al-Fitri and Bagus, a bouncer in a brothel living with his mistress, Paitun, returns to the village that he left seven years ago. His ex-girlfriend, Ayu, is now married to Atmo and is pregnant. His teacher has died and his fellow student, Parijo, is now acting like a mad man. This remote village in Ponorogo area has been cut off from the outside world because Sengkuni and his gang, the owner of local public transportation has boycotted the state transportation line and decided to raise the price of transport. Seven years ago, Bagus was sent away by his teacher, Wirodongso, for breaking his oath by impregnating his girlfriend, Ayu. Then Paitun comes to the village to find him. Bagus, who is trying to turn a new page in his relations to the village, by helping his old friends, is now bothered by the presence of Paitun, who represents his dark past. The villagers then tell him that Gombloh is his son. The situation in the village is revived at the end, but Ayu dies while giving birth.
