Ashamed and afraid to lose her fiancé, Marlia hides her past. Her child, Jamila, whose father is unknown, is put under the care of Mak Zaenab. Johan has been divorced twice as each marriage was childless and due to his mother’s desire for a grandchild, he finally marries Marlia. But after seven years of childless marriage with her, Johan marries again due to his mother’s insistence. Marlia is distressed, even though she is not divorced. She returns home to find her child and finds Mak Zaenab dying and her child, who is almost blind due to an accident, missing. Maria breaks down and is admitted to a mental institution, while Jamila is found by a group of street musicians and becomes a singer of the group. Her singing talent attracts the attention of a television producer, who puts her on television. Mochtar, an eye doctor who has been married for 18 years without a child, sees the programme, and decides to cure her blindness and makes her a famous singer. During her charity concerts, she visits a mental institution and meets her mother, and also Johan who has lost his memory.
