People call Kidang Telangkas (Barry Prima) the Blackhawk from the North because of his mystical knowledge and martial arts skills. His wife and child are killed by Ki Dapaksa. He wanders everywhere in search of this murderer. During his search, he helps an orphan girl, Nawangsih (Dewi Ivonne), who wishes to travel with him. Instead, Kidang Telangkas entrusts her care and training to his martial arts master.  Once she has completed her martial arts training, Nawangsih seeks out Kidang. United once again, Kidang and Nawangsih marry and settle down in the region where Ki Dapaksa is hiding out. Kidang becomes aware that there are many enemies around them, and asks Nawangsih to go and call their old master, while he gathers a number of friends. Nawangsih is captured and held. A violent confrontation ensues, with Kidang and his forces winning the battle. Kidang and Nawangsih become the rulers of the region.
