Remaja Pulang Pagi

(title translation: Teenagers Returning at Dawn)

A rivalry breaks out between lower-class teenagers who like dangdut (traditional Indonesian music) versus high-class teenagers who like disco. Wike, daughter of a rich family, is bored of her elitist environment. She meets Dudi, a young man from the village who is musically talented. They become close as both are trying to win an award in a contest. Vita, who is in love with Dudi, becomes very jealous because of this. The rivalry intensifies between these teenagers from different social backgrounds. Then their habit of coming home very late, even in the morning, becomes an issue to their families. While the whole film is filled with scenes of teenagers dancing, the triangular love story is not deeply explored.
