(title translation: The Poor’s Lament)

After the death of their parents, Achmad and Komala are taken by their uncle to live in the city. Their inheritance is then taken over by the uncle and wife, who are not happy with the presence of the two children. Because of the constant harassment, and even being accused of stealing, the children finally run away. But they are separated and are desperately trying to look for each other. Back home, the village head, who is assigned to look after the arrangements of Achmad and Komala’s inheritance, manages to win the inheritance back for them with the help of a lawyer. They defeat the uncle’s claim in court. In the end, everyone makes peace and live in one house.
