Rais, a diplomat, returns home when his mother passes away. He goes to the house of his sister, Rima. There is an awkward situation, as both siblings don’t talk to each other. In a flashback, we learn that their mother left a Pandora’s box, which lends chaos to Rais’ life. We also learn of Kinasih, the pretty daughter of Gustav, the landlord, whom the orphan Chairil, yearns for. Later, the couple fall in love with each other. Rima and Rais narrate the flashback story. The source of the plot is the mother’s handwritten story of the past. Then we learn that Kinasih’s parents do not approve, as she is already betrothed to someone else. Behind their love story, there is also another woman named Flori. This woman, who is secretly in love with Chairil, is the mastermind of the story.
