Synopsis

Title translation: The Revenge of the South Seas Queen

To avenge herself for being humiliated by a powerful man, Nyi Roro Kidul (the legendary Queen of the South Sea) possesses the body of Wanda. Any man who has intercourse with Wanda will die because a "keris" (a short wavy blade) will come out of her vagina. The "keris" itself is what finally defeats Wanda, so that Nyi Roro Kidul then returns to the spirit world.

Note

The film is controversial for its exploitation of sex. After many protests from the public, the film is stopped from screening by the Censorship Department (BSF). When it undergoes another round of censorship in 1994, the length of the film is reduced to 80 minutes. The title changes to Misteri Pusaka Laut Selatan (The Mystery of South Sea's Amulet)
