Lilis serves time in jail for killing her husband when he is raping another woman. During her incarceration, Lilis gets a lot of sympathy, even from the Prison Head, Captain Rita. When Lilis is sick, she is allowed to be treated in the hospital. By chance, nurse Riana was her former student in her village. Dr. Arifin, the doctor in charge, is against this.
