Pernikahan Berdarah

(title translation: Bloody Wedding)

Badrowi, a village youth, disturbs a married woman, that he is in love with, on her wedding night, and kills her husband. He is then beaten by villagers and thrown into a ravine. Here he gains supernatural powers from a spider and becomes a troublemaker in the village. Three people are killed by him, with the same characteristic - the wound on the necks of the victims, just like the wound suffered by the father of Murni, an orphan, who was raised by Mbok Mirah. However, the accused murderer is Rachman, a young santri (an Islamic religious student). Fortunately, his teacher intervenes to save him. Rachman is in love with Murni but she is always haunted by the shadow of Badrowi. Then a young man, who tries to rape her, dies of the same wound. As a result of the trauma, she is reluctant to marry Rachman, the man who loves her. But her nanny and her relatives urge her on, and finally Murni marries him. As expected, their wedding night is disturbed by Badrowi. So Rachman battles Badrowi until the latter is defeated, burned by the fire from an overturned oil lamp, which also sets fire to the house of Murni and Rachman.
