Grandfather (Sudirman) teaches Yuma how to defeat an enemy like a true soldier after Yuma tells on his problem with Irfan and Irfan’s delinquent gang. Later on Asti, good at silat, joins Yuma. Together they devise a strategy to defeat Omar and friends.

One day Yuma follows Grandfather walking out of his house and peeking at a lavish house’s yard where a little girl is playing. That girl is Grandfather’s granddaughter, Citra who’s not allowed to see Grandfather by her father, Widodo. And so Grandfather’s bitter family story is unfolded.

Grandfather’s and Yuma’s strategy works. But a conflict arises in the neighborhood as parents blame Grandfather for creating havocs. With guilt, Grandfather withdraws and refuses to see Yuma and his friends.

In the end Grandfather finds courage to see Widodo and apologizes for his past misdeeds as a father. He then is able to see Citra. The encounter makes him filled with so much joy that he subsequently dies in peace.

Grandfather’s departure means a lot to Yuma, Saleh, Asti and Widodo. They are able to learn how to defeat fear within oneself.
