Ruliah comes from a poor family but she is a highly competitive girl. She yearns of having an executive as spouse. During Rusli and Rini's wedding, Ruliah meets Husni, whom she thinks is an executive. She marries him not realising that he is a small time clerk. Meanwhile, Husni is still studying law but to prove his love, he fulfils all of Ruliah's demands, including attending an exclusive high-class party. For the occasion, Ruliah borrows Rini's diamond necklace. But on her way to the party, she loses it. So Husni has to find money and do extra work to pay for the necklace. Fortunately, Ruliah comes to her senses and is willing to work so that they can repay the debt faster. Ironically, Rini, later explains to them that the necklace was actually an imitation. Out of goodwill, Rini returns the (real) necklace to Ruliah. Their joy is complete when Husni has the good news that he has graduated from his law school.
