Title translation: The Wind Chaser

Dapunta (18) a resident of Lahat, South Sumatra, is about to graduate from high school and has to determine his future. His mother wants him, an intelligent boy, to go to college but his father resists her. His father wants Dapunta, the Wind Chaser as the villagers call him for his running skill, to continue his own path as the leader of truck robbers of their village.

Dapunta follows his heart. He dares himself to tell his father that he wants to go to college, no matter what. Helped by Nyimas, his first love; Pak Damar, the teacher who sees his potentials; and Husni his bestfriend, Dapunta begins to chase his dream.

The fact that he’s a son of a truck robber makes him a target of hatred at school. He also has to deal with Jusuf, his true rival who as smart and talented as himself.

Dapunta perseveres, especially since Ferdy, Pak Damar’s old friend who’s a national running coach from Jakarta sees his talent. Dapunta finally finds a way to his dream,
