Pendawa Lima

(title translation: The Five Pandavas)

Pandu Dewanata returns to the country of Astina, with three princesses he won from a competition - the Goddess of Kunti, the Goddess of Madrin, and the Goddess of Gandari. Pandu is not so greedy to marry the three goddesses, so he offers one to be paired with his brother, Destarata, and another to his younger brother, Abiyasa. Abiyasa rejects the offer, while Destarata accepts. But none of the three princesses is willing to be married by the blind Destarata. Each of them finds their own trick not to be chosen. Finally, the Goddess of Gandari, by her own mistake, becomes the chosen one. But as a result, she bears a grudge towards the other two princesses. Time passes by and the Goddess of Gandari bears 99 sons and a daughter, all of whom have bad characters. They are called the Kurawa. Meanwhile, the Goddess of Kunti bears three sons: Yudistira, Bima dan Arjuna and the Goddess of Madrin bears twins, Nakula and Sadewa. The five of them are called the Pendawa Lima. On Pandita Duma's provocation, the Goddess of Gandari and Arya Sangkuni, who is eager for the ultimate power, along with the Kurawas, intend to exterminate the Pendawa Lima. After a long struggle, Pendawa Lima wins the war.
