Pengorbanan

Andy, a sailor, is dating Lisa, an orphan who looks after a store, and wins her over after he enters a fight to save her. As Lisa wants him to remain on land, he quits being a sailor and works in an auto-repair shop. When her younger sister, Santi, dies, Lisa is very shaken as she was prepared to work as a prostitute, to pay for her sister’s healthcare. So a depressed Lisa is admitted into a mental institution, and her care undertaken by the hospital head, Dr. Purnama, while Andy sails again. Lisa slowly recovers and is asked to live in Purnama’s house, because she reminds him of his late wife. There, she meets Hartono, son of Purnama, who is also a doctor and has just returned from studying abroad. Hartono confesses his love to her but Lisa refuses as she is still waiting for Andy. But she changes her mind after Hartono saves her from a rape, attempted by the same man who was defeated by Andy in the beginning of the film. When Andy finally returns, he finds that Lisa is now someone else’s wife and already has a child. When Lisa refuses to leave her family, Andy returns to sailing the sea.
