Synopsis
Hermanto, the son of a rich trader in Yogya, falls in love with a girl from the village, Putri Gunung. But his stepmother insists that he should marry her niece, so that the inheritance from Sundoro, Hermanto's father, goes to her. After Sundoro dies, the stepmother lies to Hermanto, leading him to throw out Putri Gunung. Then the stepmother enlists Abidin to get rid of Hermanto. But Hermanto gets Abidin arrested for black-market trading. Hermanto then goes searching for Putri Gunung to start a happy family together.
