Patgulipat

(literal translation of Patgulipat: Collusion)

Patgulipat or “an understanding between each other” is another word for collusion. Arif, who wants to control the local government’s auction, is colluding with an official by supplying him with whatever he wants, especially women. Arif is having an affair with his secretary, Dewi, while the official’s wife is also playing around with boys. Rahman and Bogi, their chauffeurs, know all their secrets, which in the end is made public. Everyone seems to have a secret. The official’s daughter is made pregnant by her boyfriend, and he had once caught the official being serviced in a massage parlour by a friend. Benny, an illegal taxi driver, also knows the secret because he often drives the call girl that the official hires. Rahman and Bogi who reveals the secrets are fired, while Benny also gets into trouble because he helps the owner of his rented taxi, in meetings with a second wife. So the owner’s first wife takes Benny’s rented taxi away. The drivers end up driving public buses.
