Lasmi goes to Jakarta after losing her husband and child in a robbery, as well as being raped. At the Gambir train station, a young man traps her and takes her to a brothel. In the brothel, she meets Budiman, who always gives her money without having sex with her. This is because Budiman hopes to take her away from prostitution. Budiman’s intention stems from his own guilty conscience; that he has caused the death of his wife and child. To buy her some freedom, Budiman dates Lasmi outside the brothel accompanied by a guard. It turns out that the guard is the robber who murdered Lasmi’s husband and child. Budiman then alerts the police, leading to the arrest of the guard. He and Lasmi then start a new life together.
