Nyi Ageng Ratu Pemikat

Nyi Ageng, clearly sees and feels the fate of her community, who are weak and often become the victims of male injustice. Her mother has become a victim of her father, Raden Permana’s behaviour, as he has many wives. Her sister is abandoned by the man who made her pregnant, and she dies. Nyi Ageng herself is forced to marry a rich man, but her husband dies mysteriously. Then Sastro, her father's trusted employee, secretly tries to seduce her in many ways, though he already has a wife. Even the supervisors of his father's plantation, all of whom, want to sleep with Nyi Ageng. Hence, Nyi Ageng feels sympathy for a young man, Broto, as she is captivated by his polite behaviour and his obedience towards his parents. Broto eventually saves Nyi Ageng from the aggressive Santo, a misbehaving, dirty old man.
