Mrs. Ismail is depressed and blind. Her oldest child dies and the romance of her daughter, Dewi, is opposed by the parents of her boyfriend, Lukman. This happens because Hendry, a Lukman family employee, wants Lukman to marry Rina. Dewi is determined to pay for the education of her younger brother, Johan. Johan later marries Ratih, Hendry’s abandoned daughter. At Ratih’s request, Dewi and her mother live in Johan’s house. Meanwhile Hendry, is fired from his job at Lukman’s family, and disguises himself as Handoko to convince Ratih to let him stay at her house. Then at Handoko’s instigation, Johan banishes his mother and his sister, Dewi, from the house. (In the end, it is known that Handoko is the culprit.) Meanwhile, Dewi works for Mrs. Lukman. Knowing this, Hendry wants to destroy her by mixing a poison into the milk that Dewi usually drinks. But Mrs. Lukman somehow drinks the milk and dies. Lukman arrives and is in shock, especially when he finds out that the one who’s been helping his wife is Dewi, his former girlfriend. Hendry cannot run away anymore when the police pick him up. He is actually a fugitive.
