Malam Satu Suro

(title translation: The Night of Satu Suro)

Two young men from the city go hunting in the Roban jungle. There they meet a beautiful woman, Suketi, who is actually the incarnation of a "sundel bolong" (a female ghost with a hollow back). One of the men, Bardo, marries her on the night of the first day of "Suro" (an auspicious date in the Javanese calendar). He then takes her to the city and lives happily with her. His business becomes so successful that his jealous rivals kill Suketi, which turns her back to a "sundel bolong". She then takes revenge.
