Title translation: Closed Eyes

Three stories about religion among Indonesian people’s lives. There’s Rima (Eka Nusa Pertiwi), an anxious girl who’s in a search for self identity. In the midst of apprehension she gets involved with NII (Negara Islam Indonesia/Indonesian Islamic State). There’s Jabir (M. Dinu Imansyah) a teenager who becomes a suicide bomber under pressures of economy and family troubles.

There’s also Asimah (Jajang C. Noer), a mother who loses her only daughter, Aini. Aini is a kidnap victim of Islamic fundamentalists. The kidnap occurs in the middle of Asimah’s divorce procedures, driving her to frustration.
