Lupus IV (Anak Mami Sudah Besar)

After graduating from high school, Lupus fails to get into a state university and refuses to let his mother sell the jewelry she has inherited to cover the cost of sending him to a private college. Lupus then asks for an advance from the magazine that he has been writing for, and promises to write an article on teenage girls who stay out all night and come home at sunrise. In the process of doing research for the article, he interviews and becomes friends with Pia (Paramitha Rusady), who goes to discotheques every night due to problems at home; Pia’s father, a widower, is rarely home, and when does come home, he constantly rages at her. For Pia, the discos are just places of entertainment, she is not like the other girls that hang out there looking for men to have sex with. Lupus’ article about Pia gives rise to a misunderstanding in her family, and Lupus has to step in and talk to her father about the situation in their home. This results in Pia’s father deciding to mend his ways. The story of Pia is conveyed through a series of images: catching frogs and looking for and failing to get a job, etc.
