Hamid Arief’s mother (Fifi Young), a widow, refuses to let her son marry Komalasari. Komalasari’s widowed father (Rd Ismail) also refuses to let her marry Hamid Arief. Both are afraid of being left alone if the children leave them. Then, Komalasari falls in love and marries a village boy, Rd. Mochtar. Hamid is devastated. His mother is so worried about him that she introduces him to a girl who looks like Komalasari. Hamid recovers from his heartbreak and marries the girl. Meanwhile, the marriage of Rd Mochtar and Komalasari is on the rocks thanks to another girl, Mimi Mariani. Komalasari demands a divorce. Then, Hamid and his Komalasari lookalike also get divorced. Finally, Hamid and Komalasari rekindle their love and successfully persuade their parents to let them marry.
