Synopsis

(title translation: My Sky, My Home)

Andri, child from a rich family, begins a friendship with Gempol, a street kid who sells used papers. Strict discipline, restrictions and loneliness in his big house (his father and older sibling are always busy while his mother passed away) make Andri envious of Gempol, who is seemingly free. When Gempol is separated from his family after being evicted from their home, Andri and Gempol impulsively go to Surabaya to find Gempol’s grandmother. Andri’s family starts to panic and worriedly look for him.

Note

The original title is Dua Karcis Gratis (Two Free Tickets). There was a controversy during the film’s distribution, as it was taken off the major cinema circuit after one day even though it was an award-winning film. The problem was taken to court.
