Widuri is a typical Javanese girl who is too shy to confess her love and can only wait. Irawati is a spoiled aggressive girl whose every whim are fulfilled by her rich parents, because she is predicted to have a short life. Both of them love Tody, a university student who is indecisive in love and often consults his friend, Anton, a psychology student. Thus Widuri loses out to Irawati yet the latter is not satisfied. When Tody goes to Widuri’s village, Irawati sends her thug friends to rape Widuri, so that she becomes pregnant and has to stay in the village. Then Tody receives a letter from his parents that they can no longer support his school fees, so he starts working for Irawati’s parents. When he helps a friend using the company’s money and the friend fails to return the money, Tody is forced by Irawati to marry her as she has become pregnant due to her free-sex lifestyle. Tody instead goes to work at a different place. Irawati keeps badgering him but he ignores her as he still loves Widuri. So he goes to find Widuri, and asks her to leave her evil husband and marry him instead. Widuri refuses. In distress, he goes home and has an accident. Irawati also dies in the process of giving birth.
