Synopsis

Title translation: Possessed

One day after Andien, Didi, Vanilla and Binar celebrate their birthdays, all of a sudden Didi broke up with her boyfriend, Calvin. To console her, Andien, Vanilla and Binar takes Didi to Pangandaran for a vacation.

On the way there they get trapped in a seemingly uninhabited village. When the night comes the invisible inhabitants start to emerge and prey on them. Andien and friends run for their lives and try to find an escape from the village in spite of the fact that two of them have been possessed by the spirits and end up dead.

Note

This film got past the censors with the title Kerasukan (Kampung Setan) or Possessed (The Village of Evils).

It is retracted from the distribution by the producers on Saturday, April 27, 2013, who suggested that the Cinema21 had been unfair to them. The film went back to distribution on June 27, 2013. “It’s back on the show because I think there has been a serious attention from the 21/XXI to improve the national film distribution system,” says HM Firman Bintang, the producer of the film on Monday, June 21, 2013 in a press conference at the Pusat Perfilman Haji Usmar Ismail (Hajj Usmar Ismail Film Center).
