Intan Mendulang Cinta

Intan and Ibnu are secretly in love with each other. Ibnu’s father, Usman, a ship magnate, adopts Intan, the daughter of a widow who trades on the banks of the Kapuas river. As they never confess their feelings for each other, there is a misunderstanding when Widayat, Usman’s business partner from Jakarta, arrives. Widayat’s daughter, Elisa, accompanies her father while Ibnu drives them around. The spoiled Johan, who is Widayat’s other child, and who runs his father’s company in Banjarmasin, is infatuated with Intan. Johan proposes. Intan hesitates but then decides to accept the proposal as a favour to her adoptive parents, and also for her mother. Fortunately, Johan’s girlfriend, who is about to get dumped, is pregnant. The wedding is off. Intan and Ibnu are finally happy after a quarrel when they confess their feelings.
