Gela, the son of a widow, lives an unruly life with his friend, Tomi. When he meets Astrid on the street, a fight breaks out and someone is killed. Gela goes to jail, since Astrid is not allowed to give testimony by her father, though she knows exactly what happened. After his release, their relationship is continued and they fall in love with each other. Then Gela works in the office of Astrid's father. In an office intrigue, Gela is forced to pay the insurance of his own customer. Tomi and his mother try to help him raise money by gambling, but they are not successful. Tomi and Gela are finally caught by the police. This is just after the trio meet on the beach, where Tomi puts the rings onto the fingers of Gela and Astrid.
