A loan shark controls the fishermen in a fishing village and keeps them poor. Meanwhile, a girl just out from college, becomes an employee in a major bank, Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI). When she is short of cash, her boyfriend introduces her to the loan shark, and she becomes as trapped as the fishermen. When the fishermen decide to start a union to fight the loan shark, the girl joins in and ends up falling in love with one of them. Since BNI is one of the film’s sponsors, the film’s message seems to promote the bank.
