Synopsis
(title translation: No Man's Land)
Kaelani manages to escape from British custody and returns to his village. Item’s attempt to kill Kaelani is sabotaged by his own underling, Ganda. Despite this, Kaelani still finds it difficult to trust Ganda, since Ganda is also a fugitive from Kalisosok prison. Ganda proves his integrity when he is recaptured and refuses to expose Kaelani’s hideout. Marno, Kaelani’s underling, witnesses this.
Item is about to be shot by his enemy, Amir, as they compete to look for gold, but Kaelani shoots Amir first. Then Kaelani continues his revolutionary struggle along with his men, including Marno and Ganda who manage to escape once again. He becomes a killing-machine, defeating all enemies. Then he is ironically killed by the person who helped his escape from prison, for the greed of the gold. Then this person is forced to become a hero and with three grenades, he strikes the enemy post.
Note
According to the director's memory, the story of this film comes from the comic titled Pahlawan Kali Sosok (Hero of Sosok River). There's also a novel by Toha Mochtar titled Daerah Tak Bertuan.
