Darna Ajaib

(title translation: The Amazing Darna)

Darna, like Superman, is a special child. She can fly, stop a train that is about to plunge into a ravine, catch criminals and so on. She was born with placenta wrapped around her and this is what makes her a child prodigy. Dodi and Maria are her childhood pals. Maria is also a superchild, but her power comes from evil spirits. She was born from a woman who had been childless after being married for three years. Later, when she got pregnant, her child died at birth. Maria, who was raised by her aunt, revealed her magical power since childhood. To escape the talk of the town, she runs away from home and is adopted by Sukarya. Maria loves Dodi but Dodi only considers her as a friend. Maria is very jealous at Darna. Triggered by her jealousy, Maria harms Dodi and his mother. Then she asks Darna to help release herself from the evil spirit that has been possesing her. Darna then kills the spirit which happens to be Maria’s father.
