Demi Anakku

(title translation: For the Sake of My Children)

A melodrama featuring the family of Siti Sundari, who loses her husband after he goes to Jakarta to find success. This drives Siti to take their two children, Bagus and Ayu to Jakarta. On arrival, Siti loses all of her money and is separated from her son. Fortunately, a train-crossing controller who recently lost his job, helps them. Bagus becomes a shoe polisher, while Ayu is now separated from the mother. Then Siti is caught by a police patrol, while the children find out that their father is now a rich man who gets his money from being a gigolo. But they are finally reunited after going through a long and winding road.
