CHIPS or "Cara Hebat Ikut Penanggulangan masalah Sosial" (A Great Way To Solve Social Problems) is a public agency that has an office, a barrack, and uniforms similar to California Highway Patrol (CHIPS), a TV series that was well known at that time. The similarity is merely exploited for jokes. For example, Darto, a member of CHIPS, is hospitalised after chasing the beautiful Suzy. The jokes continue with no clear storyline. On another occasion, they find a sack that suspected to be stuffed with a corpse but it contains nothing but a dead animal. Presumably, this film aims to imitate the same type of film produced in the previous year with the comedy team, Warkop DKI, though it is represented now with the comedy group of Komar and friends.
