Synopsis

 

To pay for Lies’ (Ida Royani) school fees, her mother borrows money from Madun (Benyamin S), a loan shark. In return, Lies will be married to him after finishing school. Then comes Jack (also played by Benyamin S), son of a rich family who lives in the city but visits the village often to see Lies. Madun becomes jealous and wants to rush the marriage. Lies relents under a condition: that the marriage takes place in Jakarta and that he will buy what Lies asks for. In Jakarta, Madun spends all of his money to meet Lies’ condition. He cannot pay the hotel, which is owned by Jack’s parents. Jack repays all the expenses and Madun’s marriage to Lies is cancelled. Jack and Lies’ continue to see each other.
