Synopsis

 

Out of jealousy, Jono (Iwan Gunawan) stabs the person who wins Lina (Ida Abdi), his girlfriend, away from him. Then he runs off to the village where he starts a romance with Ningsih (Lenny Marlina), and marries her, though their parents are arch-enemies. The situation is complicated by Karjo (Farouk Afero), a truck driver who commutes to Jakarta and knows about Jono's background. Then, Lina, who also comes from Jono’s village, returns and persuades him to go back to Jakarta with her. Eventually, Jono finds out that Lina is still married, and then her handicapped husband takes revenge for Jono's assault. Critically wounded, Jono returns to the village to see Ningsih and dies in her arms.
