Baron Macan Terminal

The story starts with the actions of Baron (Harry Capri), a hoodlum at a public transit terminal, who makes a living using his muscles to extort money from transit vehicle drivers. The film also explores Baron’s failure to win the heart of Arni (Yenny Farida), who has married Abas (Johny Indo), the conductor on a public transit vehicle. When Baron and his gang fail to defeat Abas in a physical confrontation, Baron decides to use deceit to get back at his enemy. By chance, three local women have a grudge against  Arni because they had all been competing for the attentions of Abas. Early one morning, these three young women attack Arni, who is in the last stages of her pregnancy. Arni then dies in childbirth, alone, without her husband by her side to save her. The film then shifts into a ghost story, with Arni’s spirit haunting their village. Baron and his gang are the main targets, and the haunting is so intense that they finally call in a shaman to exorcise the ghost. This turns out to be ineffective, and the local people turn to their traditions for a solution. They drive nails into trees, then hunt down the ghost, whom they beat mercilessly until she suddenly disappears. Then an ulema comes and gives a sermon about ghosts and demons.
