Bunga Cinta Kasih

(title translation: Flower of Love)

Gita, daughter of a nobleman and Trisna, a widow’s son, are elected as chairman and vice chairman of the class. Gita secretly falls in love with Trisna, who manages to tackle the naughtiest kid in the class, and helps Idrus, an autistic friend, who has to work as a rickshawman to pay for his education. One day, a new English teacher, Maria, arrives. She favours Trisna as he looks exactly like her late brother who died in an accident. During school holidays, Maria continues her college while Trisna returns to his village. Coincidentally, he meets Gita, whose parents bought land from Trisna’s mother to pay for her son’s education. The romance between Trisna and Gita begins but her father strongly disapproves. Trisna accepts everything until one day he catches Gita’s father dating Maria. Noticing Trisna’s attitude, Maria finds out about Gita’s father and breaks off the relationship. Gita’s father changes his attitude towards Trisna and also makes peace with his family.
