Boleh-boleh Aja

Bobby (Reza Achman) and Vina (Paramitha Rusadi), who initially meet at a basketball game, meet up again when Randy (Ade Giuliano) and Vina’s older brother, Anto (Tio Pakusadewo), steal a magazine from a young female vendor.  Bobby sees the theft and runs after and beats up Randy. This causes Vina, who had liked Bobby from the outset, fall in love with him. Anto forbids her to see Bobby, who is then beaten up by friends of Randy. Vina distances herself from Bobby, who then makes friends with Wanda (Sally Marcelina), who has just returned from abroad. Randy continues to harass Bobby. When Randy tries to rape Wanda, Bobby beats him and both are arrested by the police. Not long after,  Bobby renews his love relationship with Vina. In this film, all of the characters come from the upper classes, so all kinds of symbols of wealth and social status emerge: mansions, luxury automobiles, mobile telephones and discotheques. This film also features the currently popular “prokem” slang of adolescents in the dialog. The film also has an effeminate transvestite character, played by Gugun Siregar, which is typical of films of this period.
