Synopsis
Title translation: Shackles
The story begins with a dream: running in fear, Elang (Abimana Aryasatya), is picked up by Jingga (Imelda Therinne) who drives a classic Mercedes Benz. Suddenly surrounded by dead bodies and a murderer in a bunny costume, Elang wakes up and from a narration the audience are told that Jingga is the key of all the horrible things happening in the city. Jingga, a prostitute, is obsessed with revenge to kill three men who have raped her. Elang himself is obsessed to become an acrobat with bunny costume. He has been put into an asylum for murdering his wife and child.
Another character in the plot is Ibu Kebaya (Jajang C. Noer) is shackled by the death of her daughter Laras (15 yo) in an accident. When she meets Jingga, she thinks that Jingga looks like Laras.
Working in a bar, the loner Elang ostentatiously is a friendly neighbor of Djenar (Laudya Chintya Bella), the mother of a little girl, Senja (Avrilla). Her husband Guntur (Verdi Solaiman) is “seen” as a knife thrower who always wear a bunny costume in his show. In his apartment he is always haunted by nightmares and illusions that blur the lines of reality and hallucination.
In love with Jingga and determined to avenge the rape of Jingga, Elang murdered the three rapists. Josef (Arswendi Nasution) arrests him for that. To prove himself innocent, Elang has to reveal a long-buried, terrifying secret. And so the serial killings are revealed.
