Api Dibukit Menoreh (Gugurnya Tohpati)

(title translation: Fire in the Menoreh Hill (The Dead of Tohpati))

The kingdom of Pajang wins a victory over Jipang. But a group of Jipang soldiers led by Tohpati are still causing trouble in the area. Pajang sends Untoro and his brother, Agung Sedayu, to assist their uncle, Widuro in Sangkal Putung. On the journey, Untoro is attacked and wounded. So Tanu Metir, a shaman who is also a powerful warrior, helps him. Untoro orders Sedayu, to continue the journey to Sangkal Putung, on his behalf. He wants Sedayu to prove his manhood but in Sangkal Putung, Sedayu behaves modestly and meekly. Sidanti keeps taunting Sedayu for a fight, but Sedayu ignores him. During combat against Tohpati's gang, Sidanti's true nature as a traitor is revealed when he stabs Untoro in the back. Sedayu retaliates and challenges Sidanti to a duel. Sidanti's master, Tambak Wedi comes to help and bring his student along to join Tohpati’s forces. But instead of receiving a warm welcome, they are attacked by Tohpati and his gang. Then the long awaited battle begins. Tohpati and his troops attack the beautiful valley of Sangkal Putung. But Untoro beats Tohpati in a final duel. His devoted uncle, Sumangkar asks for Untoro’s permission to allow him to take Tohpati's body away.
